    Bompas & Parr has collaborated with Assoc Prof Monica Gagliano, Dr Claire Farrell and the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology at University of Melbourne, to conceptualise and create Sentient Forest, an installation for Science Gallery Melbourne’s SWARM exhibition, which explores interspecies connectivity.

    Bompas & Parr created the world’s first super premium poppers, paired with a curated drinks offering as part of London Cocktail Week 2022 at the bar-meets-late night party spot, Sweeties, at The Standard, London. With pleasure at the forefront of the ‘Excalibur XO’ activation, these artisanal poppers launched in an unbridled celebration of queer innovation, public joyfulness, sex positivity and exceptional design, with strict regulatory policies in place to ensure the safety of all participants.

    This report has been framed around the idea of ‘public leisure’ that ultimately delivers ‘pleasure’ to its audiences. When looking at the history of leisure, articles surmise that leisure activities were once for the middle to upper classes, who attended theatres and music halls to entertain themselves for long evenings.

  • Benham & Froud Jelladrome

    Benham & Froud revives the fortunes of the British company, founded in 1785, that once made the ‘Rolls Royce of jelly moulds’, all stamped with a signature orb and cross. In 1821 Benham & Froud made the replacement orb and cross for St Paul’s cathedral and adopted the famous sigil that marks the most remarkable historic copper jelly moulds of yesteryear.
